Seeking Out New Life and New Civilizations...
At last! I've finally finished the first part of my mini-presentations on a subject that I'm having quite a bit of trouble putting a name to. It clearly lives within the science of 'Astronomy' - but that title doesn't convey importance of the subject in our everyday lives. It could be regarded as being part of the 'History of Science' but again this is a story that is still in the making - it is not in the past. I'd like to steer clear of any allusion to the paranormal because - firstly because we are are constantly redefining what is normal, and secondly this is actually quite normal by any standard if we treat it like we would anything else in the 'mainstream' press - same story, different planet.
'Conspiracy' conveys the subject neatly however, there are those who would ignore anything under this heading in the belief that they are actually reading 'Conspiracy Theory'. This is a practical conspiracy not a theoretical one. A practical conspiracy in the sense that a number of individuals are withholding information - keeping a secret. Remember, this happens all the time in business - it shouldn't be too much if a surprise to discover that it happens in science and politics too - the reasons however may be a little difficult to understand at first.
So, sod labels. I'll give it some Keywords instead. If I said the words... Mars, NASA, Discoveries... would you like to know more? How about... Life, Intelligence... Intrigued? how about NASA, Lies, [to] Congress... If you are a US Citizen are you thinking 'hey I'm paying for this!'?
Final remark - I will get round to referencing the images and information as best I can but the names that come immediately to mind for credit are Richard Hoagland, Tom VanFlandern, Paul Davis, Coast to Coast AM radio, the BBC, ESA, NASA (for the photos!), the US Citizens (for paying for the NASA photos [like it or not!]) and finally I'd like to thank Spirit and Opportunity for all their hard work. x
